Well, for the purposes of this blog I am a betrayed wife. I purge my feelings through my writings and my husband has requested I keep those pertaining to the affair and its fallout anonymous.

Otherwise, I am: kind, confused, sad, a mother, a sister, lost, strong, faithful, creative, frustrating, frustrated, destroyed, resilient, intelligent, pretty, longing for God, a wife, a daughter, hateful, loving

    To me, you are a sister in pain. May you heal much, and feel more loved by the lives you touch. Please come by, Poetmeister…on the road to Parnassus, and read my poem, Ode to Woman. I hope it inspires you. Today I am dedicating it to you. {{{hugs}}}

    I found you through Alpha Inventions – the Great Connector blog.

    Thanks for linking to my site. I believe that the more we create some sort of “community” for betrayed spouses, the less we have to suffer silently.

      I think given the media- both fictional stories and news- many of us have come to believe that infidelity is not a ‘big deal’. It’s there, it happens and then they forget about it with the next bit of drama. It’s hugely harmful and until more people are willing to speak out on that harm, it will be downplayed and those that can’t find support will fell alone. Not only am I a betrayed wife, I am a child of infidelity. My mother’s affairs affected me greatly, even if I didn’t realize it at the time. Now I can look back and see patterns in her behavior and mine that stemmed from the act of infidelity.
